Bristol Hot Air Balloon Fiesta - Paint by Numbers Kit

Six hot air balloons in red and gold drift across a deep blue summer sky above Bristol, one of them high among the towering white clouds, the others dropping low over the wooded gorge and the pale stone suspension bridge that spans it. The whole scene is painted in the flat, confident color of a golden age travel poster, with the city's name set in bold white letters along the foot of the canvas.

The palette is the pleasure here. A dozen separate greens fill the treetops and the valley below, the bridge towers warm to honey and sandstone in the afternoon light, and the balloons hold the hottest reds and yellows on the board, which makes them a satisfying place to finish. Broad areas of sky and cloud give a first time painter a forgiving start, while the suspension cables, the turreted towers and the layered foliage reward a steady hand.

Every shape arrives pre-printed and numbered on the canvas and matched to the paint pots in the kit, so there is nothing to sketch or measure before the first brushstroke. It suits a beginner, makes a relaxing evening project for a seasoned painter, and lands well as a gift for anyone who loves Bristol, balloons or vintage travel art. Choose your canvas and palette and bring the fiesta home.
