Eagle Over the Bungles - Paint by Numbers Kit

Talons gripping weathered sandstone, a wedge-tailed eagle surveys its domain from a rocky outcrop high above the banded domes of the Bungle Bungle Range. Its dark-brown and charcoal plumage, layered in feathered texture, commands the foreground while the ancient beehive formations of Purnululu recede into hazy terracotta hills below.

The palette here is quiet and cool, an overcast morning light washing the scene in soft blue-grey tones that make the eagle's warm brown feathers and the rust-colored rock domes glow by contrast. A thin ribbon of pale sky peeks through the clouds in the upper corner, grounding the composition in that vast, remote Kimberley wilderness feel. Painting this piece means working through subtle gradients, from the eagle's sharp golden eye to the crumbling texture of the outcrop beneath its feet.

This kit comes with a pre-printed numbered canvas that breaks every color transition into clear, manageable sections, so even first-time painters can recreate the eagle's layered wings and the rippling terrain with confidence. Birders, landscape lovers, and anyone drawn to Australia's outback will find this a satisfying, meditative project.

Whether it's destined for your own wall or wrapped up as a thoughtful gift, this striking outback raptor scene is ready for its numbers. Grab your brushes and bring this rugged corner of the world to life, one section at a time.
