Early Morning Perception

In this work on paper, Jessica Snow brings biomorphic abstraction into a crisp, graphic register. Floating organic forms, looping orange lines, leaf-like structures and vivid accents of magenta, turquoise and olive green create the sense of an invented natural ecosystem. Delicate passages of linear mark-making, striation and scale-like patterning add a tactile precision, balancing the composition’s playful energy with a clear sense of structure and control.
