Red Kangaroo Leap - Paint by Numbers Kit

A red kangaroo hangs mid-bound over the spinifex plain, its rust-brown body caught in a single powerful arc against the striped domes of the Bungle Bungle Range. This is Purnululu country at its most theatrical hour, when the beehive-shaped sandstone hills turn deep terracotta and violet under a sky layered in molten orange, gold, and dusty lilac clouds.

Everything here reads big and bold on purpose: broad gold-ochre grass masses roll toward the banded ridge, scattered eucalypts punctuate the flat, and a pale late-afternoon sun hovers low on the horizon. The kangaroo's shape, tail streaming behind it and ears flicked forward, becomes the single dynamic focal point against that quiet outback vastness. Each numbered section on the pre-printed canvas guides you through those graduated color shifts, from the animal's rust fur to the layered pinks and ambers of the sunset sky.

It's a satisfying project for anyone drawn to Australian wildlife and desert light, whether you're new to paint by numbers or have a few canvases under your belt. Gift it to a fellow outback dreamer, a national park collector, or keep it for yourself and watch the Kimberley's iconic domes and their marsupial visitor take shape one hue at a time.
