Untitled 134_25

This work demonstrates Ludovic Dervillez's mature, incisive style—a dynamic departure from the dense layering of his earlier output. Dervillez creates an abstract, calligraphic composition where marks are treated as irreversible acts.
Influenced by the energetic mark-making of artists like Cy Twombly and Joan Mitchell, his work concentrates on the precision of the gesture and the restrained tension of the surface, affirming the canvas as a vital space that captures the immediate presence of reality.
