Winnipeg Polar Bear Wade - Paint by Numbers Kit

A polar bear pushes slowly through deep teal water, its cream-white coat rendered in soft, graduated blue shadow against a backdrop of dusty gray rock. This is the Journey to Churchill exhibit at Assiniboine Park Zoo in Winnipeg, captured in a vintage pulp-poster style with the bold, confident silhouettes of mid-century travel art.

Cool, overcast northern light sets a muted plum-and-slate palette across the whole scene, giving the water a moody, glassy depth and the rocky enclosure a quiet, weighty presence. The bear's face, calm and direct, becomes the natural focal point, framed by large clean shapes that make this composition especially satisfying to fill in.

Each kit comes with a pre-printed numbered canvas so the design stays crisp and easy to follow, whether you're new to paint by numbers or a seasoned hobbyist looking for a bigger, more atmospheric subject. It's a fitting pick for animal lovers, Canadiana fans, or anyone hunting for a distinctive gift with a real sense of place.

Settle in, pick up your brush, and let this cool-toned Winnipeg zoo scene take shape one numbered section at a time.
